50 Books You Can’t Put Down Book Club

The book club has only been going since September when the 50 Books You Can’t Put Down List came out, but our meetings have taken on an easy pattern ... we spend a little time socialising and generally getting to know each other, then we move on to discussing the book, and finally we decide on the next book. It’s mainly a way to get to know people, as we all have something in common i.e. love reading.  
Here is a basic outline:
Deciding the book – It is chosen from the 50 Books You Can’t Put Down List before we leave each meeting. As all the books are on the 50 Books You Can’t Put Down List they should be easily available.
Discussion questions – If questions can be found they can be used to start off the discussion otherwise the person who chose the book could poses some questions to get the conversation going and facilitate just to make sure everyone gets at chance to talk and express their views.  
Meetings are held once a month either at a central café or a pub and again the chooser of the book can choose the place.

We don’t mind if people who haven’t read the book come along, and if people haven’t finished it come along we try not to give away the ending!
