Continuing in our quest to help raise awareness of sustainable living, healthy eating and yoga for body and mind, we are running two new personal development workshops in 2009, promising to be highly rewarding for all involved.

The workshops are focused around an informative weekend program bringing together all the areas that Samudra excel in: yoga, organic gardening and nutrition.  Participants will get the chance to learn in depth about the subjects in practical workshops with expert presenters introducing and demonstrating each session. 

The program includes:
Yoga: Breaking down the stability of the pelvis into Asanas (postures) that can be practiced to maintain neutral spine.  Overview of Astanga yoga and how to start your self-practice at home.
Postures for rejuvenating and refining yourself from injury or unlocking the shoulder girdle and hip girdle.
Gardening: Organic gardening, sustainable living and permaculture. Learn how to design your garden for maximum productivity; construct simple raised beds; make life-giving soil, compost and worm castings; germinate vegetable and herb seeds and manage your organic food garden through the seasons.
Live Food:  All meals provided during the duration of the weekend, plus interactive  workshops/ talks on raw food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.  Hands on experience with making the most from food in your garden, nutritional benefits of eating organic  vegetarian cuisine.
