Agency stuff

I don't know where you guys are/were going with all the talk of chickens, pigs and parrots.

 

However, as far as employment agencies go, there are as you might expect, good one and bad ones.  Some are reputable whilst others are real cowboys - total rip-off merchants.  Having been in this situation (i.e. in need of a job in a foreign country), my advice is to go with the bigger companies as they have more contacts and a reputation to protect.  In Western Australia, if they can't get you some kind of employment in 24 hours, then they are not doing their job!

 

Honestly though, there plenty of work opportunities in WA and if you are prepared to try your hand at anything (legitimate even!) then you can get a job whenever you want - city or country.  Look in the paper, look on the web, look on the boards in agencies, take a walk up Albany Highway in Vic Park or walk around the city centre - jobs everywhere!
