Birman & Ride is a boutique city-based legal practice committed to implementing best practice procedures using cutting edge technologies. We are collaborating with Overtech Technologies Pty Ltd to develop ContactsLaw - advanced legal management software.
We seek a talented or aspiring administrator to take charge of the firm’s administrative functions.
We invite applications for this newly-created position from:
*graduates interested in pursuing a career in administration or marketing within a professional environment;
*people with relevant industry experience; and
*people with a suitable background who are enrolled in a tertiary course and are interested in working and studying part-time.
This is a full-time appointment but we may negotiate flexible hours or limited part-time arrangements in certain circumstances.

Selection criteria
You must be committed to best practice procedures and be able to demonstrate:
1 an appreciation of and interest in computerised systems;
2 good critical thinking and analytical skills;
3 a commitment to customer service;
4 good presentation;
5 superior written and verbal communication skills;
6 initiative, the ability to work with limited supervision and superior time-management skills;
7 a hands-on approach to dealing with a variety of tasks;
8 ability to work with others and respond to the changing needs of a small office; and
9 an understanding of basic bookkeeping principles or the willingness and aptitude to acquiring this knowledge.
